This page is a checklist of ongoing activities that you, as a small business owner will need to keep track of on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. While we have tried to be as complete as possible, this list will not fit every business and circumstance. Be sure to add your individualized responsibilities to this list.

Daily Activities

  1. Keep Accurate Books*

Monthly Activities

  1. Submit sales tax return to Borough*
    Go to the Accounting, Taxes and Permits page for details about submitting sales taxes to the North Pole office.

  2. Make payroll for your employees

Quarterly Activities

  1. Pay payroll taxes and other employment related fees*

  2. Pay federal estimated taxes
    See the IRS Website for all tax questions.

Annual Activities

  1. Submit Business and Personal Property Tax Assessment * The necessary forms can be obtained from the North Pole office.
  2. Submit Income Tax Return*
